Teaching & Learning Center
The TLC exists to support innovation in teaching and learning at South Mountain Community College. We are the hub for technology training and for the exploration of new pedagogical strategies to improve retention and transfer of learning for our students.
The TLC is staffed by a Learning Facilitator, Karen Gurney. Karen is an expert in Office, PhotoShop, Photoshop Elements, CFS, RPS, and more!
Karen is joined in the TLC by Amy MacPherson. Amy is a faculty instructional designer/technologist. Amy’s expertise lies in the areas of Office, Photoshop, Blackboard, learning styles, pedagogy for online instruction, and the Faculty Evaluation Plan.
